tedovertu (259), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA May 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 17, 2008Bottle, Light cookie aroma with a definite tinge of alcohol. They can keep this beer in Russian. Not worthy of a average of 3.49. This beer basically sucks. Do not believe the hype. vulcanmeister (102), La Grande, Oregon, USA May 26, 2008 Pours dark brown with a minimal beige head. Sweet malt aroma with chocolate and light hops. Smokiness and light fruity finish with a touch of bitterness. A most enjoyable brew. WillieV (191), Maryland, USA May 25, 2008 Bottle: Poured a very dark brown color (not quite black but close). Nice light brown head that quickly disappeared. Very light lacing on the glass. Scent reminds me of burnt coffee and a sweet fruit. Taste is very surprising compared to the rest this company has made this one actually stands out. Burnt coffee/caramel taste with a light hint of alcohol. Nightfall (645), Athens, Greece May 21, 2008 0,5lt bottle at an Eastern European market in Piraeus. Pitch black. Small brownish head. Sweet burnt aromas. Spicy, roasty very aromatic taste. nice finishing. A really enjoyed this one ! Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA May 21, 2008 Bottle. SR liquors. Pours a dark brown body with a thin head. Aroma is malt, smoke, caramel, and sweet malt. Flavor is that but there is a very thin body thats rather unsatisfying. A nice drying sensation finishes this one off. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA May 19, 2008 Pours a deep reddish black with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma is bready and biscuity, very chewy. Taste is completely different, very malty sweet, roasted grains, chocolate, and dark fruit sweetness. Much thicker body than I thought it would be. Finishes with a touch of malty sweetness, fruit. Really nice, but the aroma was my only problem. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA May 17, 2008 Pours a clear brown with a big mocha head. Light roasty aroma. Flavor is rich and sweet with some chocolate bitterness, roasted coffee, and light hops. Finishes dry and clean. Pretty decent porter. biggcb (458), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown, with a very thin beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, molasses and some dark fruits.
