Sweet flavor with a clean roasted coffee aftertaste. Overall, not too bad, finishes clean but a touch too sweet for my taste. douglas88 (1576), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

The aroma is roasted malts and some sweet brown sugar. The taste is pretty good; sweet molasses and brown sugar, some roasted malts, and a nice alcohol burn. For 7% this is really quite warm. Overall, I liked it. It is a smooth and sweet porter. IlanMan (817), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Pour is dark with an aroma of sweet molasses and alcohol. Flavor is smokey, alcoholic, and sweet. Too sweet for a porter. Not real good. Alcohol is not hidden very well either. Won’t buy again. Liked the smoke but most of the other beer sucked. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a thin, beige head.
Smell: Sweetish aroma of molasses, a bit of roast, and a cup of simple syrup.
Taste: Dark malts with a taste of molasses with a bit more sugar added. Some roastiness. Never much in the way of hops or bitterness. Just a touch of astringency in the lightly roasty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Not the best baltic porter I’ve gulped down, but, for me, it was definitely the best stop on the trip through Baltika Land. BustedFlat (552), Edina, Minnesota, USA

Very sweet like coffee and cream and a whole lot of sugar, Some roast malt, cocoa and molasses notes. This one was way to sweet and cloying and I like sweet.

Pours a pitch black with a medium tan head and a a very sweet and burned aroma. The flavor is sticky and sweet wit lots of burned malts and of course alcohol promininent. I like it, but it is a tad too sweet for me. wxman (585), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Pours an opaque dark brown with a substantial light brown head that stays forever. Aroma is molassas and dry red wine. Taste is very interesting. I get an initial metallic taste that is not unpleasant, followed by dried dark fruit, bitter chocolate and a sweet mapleness. Some burnt malt bitterness after the swallow as well as some mild alcohol warmth. Pretty decent Eastern Europe porter.
