Burned, berries, dark bread, light dryness, licorice, light sweetness. Nice. posikyle (165), Alabama, USA Feb 6, 2008 Pours a deep opaque brown, medium sized head. Aroma is toasted malts, with a bit of sweetness. Taste is burned malts, with a big sweet aftertaste. Definitely an after dinner beer. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Jan 31, 2008 My first baltic porter. Pours a dark chocolate brown color with a medium sized tan head that quickly turns into a think ring around the glass. Nose is caramel, and toast. Tastes like chocolate caramel, bread, and malt. Actually a pretty good beer. A nice change up as opposed to a totally roasted tasting porter. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA Jan 26, 2008 Pours nearly black with a largish tan head. Kinda an odd porter, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something was just a bit weird about it. Still a good solid brew, though. Mamyte (18), Vilnius, Lithuania Jan 26, 2008 black colour with light brown head, whitch disapears quickly. Aroma and flavor of sweet roasted malt. A little bit overroasted in the finnish with bitterness. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Jan 26, 2008 April 2006 - Wow...I was really liking this. Beer poured dark, dark brown with red highlights, large head with decent lacing. Aroma was odd...didn’t smell like a porter at all. Smelled rather like a hoppy amber or something along those lines. Flavor didn’t match smell (thankfully). Wonderfully smooth chocolatey taste with some molasses mixed in...perfect amount of sweetness. It reminded of a good glass of chocolate milk. Excellent. unrulythings (73), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 17, 2008 very dark brown, almost black with a frothy tan head. aroma is of molasses, chocolate, and roasted malt. thick mouthfeel with flavors of wood, malt, dark fruit, and spicy chocolate. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jan 16, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown to nearly black with frothy off-white head. Aroma of dark malts and dark fruit with a bit of sweetness. Flavor of dark roasted malt, black cherries and raisins with that same sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Not too heavy and clean. I liked this a lot.
