Another great Baltic porter. If you like sweet malty beers tasting of chocolate then this is your beer. Smooth from start to finish.

From a .5 l brown bottle, pours an opaque dark brown with a dense dark tan head. Slight molasses aroma. Big body with full mouthfeel. Dark malt dryness matched with slightly sweet caramel character. Underlying roasted character covered by late sweetness and slight alcohol.

Bottle in Berlin. One of the better porters I had in my life, really dark and beautiful black color, standard malty, caramel and chocolate flavors. I was quite surprised how easy it was to drink this beer, considering the style and the alcohol level.Great!

Bottle into pint glass. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a thin tan head that dissipates over time. Heavy aromas of roasted malts, caramel, spice and slight hints of sweet fruit. Flavor is of caramel, molasses, some coffee, and spice with a bitter fruit finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and velvety with average carbonation. Not a bad brew.

I’m discovering that Baltic/Eastern European porters and stouts seem to be either a hit or a miss. This was a hit. Smooth like silk. Easy drinking (especially for its darkness and strength), a great dessert beer.

Pours out a dark, but clear, brown under a creamy light tan head. Roasted nut aroma, molasses, and chocolate. No hop derived aromas that I could detect. Medium/full body, light carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Decidedly on the sweet side with caramel maltiness dominating. Still, some spicy bitterness comes on at the finish for balance. I’d like a little more hop character, but this is still a good Baltic.

Ebony beer with tan head. Aroma is of raisins, figs and other dark fruits. Tastes MALTY with great caramel, chocolate and roast flavors. Has a great milkshake-like mouthfeel.

This is a really nice porter for the price. A perfect winter brew to sip on a cold night. Lots of roasty carmel and chocolate malt flavor.
