I was quite surprised how easy it was to drink this beer, considering the style and the alcohol level.Great! portermax55 (118), Canterbury, Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Bottle into pint glass. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a thin tan head that dissipates over time. Heavy aromas of roasted malts, caramel, spice and slight hints of sweet fruit. Flavor is of caramel, molasses, some coffee, and spice with a bitter fruit finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and velvety with average carbonation. Not a bad brew. Perm (151), Tryon, North Carolina, USA

Smooth like silk. Easy drinking (especially for its darkness and strength), a great dessert beer. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA

Roasted nut aroma, molasses, and chocolate. No hop derived aromas that I could detect. Medium/full body, light carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Decidedly on the sweet side with caramel maltiness dominating. Still, some spicy bitterness comes on at the finish for balance. I’d like a little more hop character, but this is still a good Baltic. charcot25 (181), Cordova, Tennessee, USA

Tastes MALTY with great caramel, chocolate and roast flavors. Has a great milkshake-like mouthfeel. mistersinalin (367), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
