Commercial Description:
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Burnt chocolate and maybe a little fruit? Not bad, but fairly weak flavor for a porter.

Barely transparent, just light enough to let a ray of light through. Intense maltiness and smoke on the nose. Deep chocolate character in the flavor, along with residual sweetness and alcohol, with a long, anise finish. My first beer in the style but I’m already impressed with the depth of flavor.

Deep dark red-brown with a small short lived tan head. Malty aroma which was some what sweet. Smokey coffee taste with a definite sugar aspect that come together as a good porter.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a thin mocha head, with some lacing, over a dark, slightly reddish (SRM 36) clear body....nose is coffee, chocolate, molasses....taste is sweet malts caramel, toffee, then molasses, finishing with slight roasted bitterness....mouth feel is light and a bit watery, carbonation is medium. This is somewhat lighter in aroma and flavors than expected, and the mouth feel is a little light.

A classic Baltic Porter. Extremely well-balanced with a variety of sweet and malty flavors. Not too much bite from the alcohol. Incredibly, this is available for around $1.50 - $2/bottle. The other Baltika brews generally leave something to be desired... but #6 never lets me down.

Bottle. Poured dark brown to black with a thin head. Aroma is sweet, nutty, malty. Very smooth, with hints of caramel, sugar, a touch of coffee, and tons of roasted malts. A little bit thin. Alcohol was very well hidden. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, I’d have it again.
