| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Updated: Dec 23, 2008Pours nearly opaque black with a big creamy caramel/tan head. Aroma is really malty, with caramel, dark and pale malts coming through. Taste is also very malty and dark, with a little warming from the alcohol ( a little more than I would expect for 7%). Overall this is a pretty good baltic porter, and it was only 1.99 for the bottle.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2007 [bottle] Oily black color, with a chunky white head. Solid roasted malt aroma, with sweet chocolate and and a touch of licorice. Flavors are quite tasty and well balanced. Chocolate, very dark malts and molasses undertones give way to a nice roastiness. Overall, pretty good. (I can’t believe this was $1.95 at a usually overpriced bottle shop) FrankJohansen (3366), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Poured from a bottle. This beer was a disappointment. Didn’t have much aroma and the taste was less intense than what I expect from a Porter. It was actually kind of bland. Had a malty taste, but wasn’t able to detect much in the way of hops. Maybe it was just a bad bottle, so I’ll probably give it another shot at a different time.
