Best before 28.04.07. Pours ebony into a stem glass. Mocha micro head looks like wheat pancake batter as it slowly recedes. Slight plum aromas. Creamy with rum soaked raisins and chocolate. Turns sour in the finish.

Bottled(500ml). -Pours a nice black coloured with medium sized brown head. Nice chocolate licorice nose. Roasted malt and coffee in aroma with pleasant chocolate and cocoa notes. Also very fruity. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Despite 7.0%ABV flavor is quite watery.

Rerated: blackish pour. Grain, chocolate, cocoa, and caramel in aroma. Medium bodied, somewhat sweet. A little bit rough but overall bland and misses the style.

pours almost black with garnet highlights and a huge tan head which lingers. Interesting aroma ... with alcohol and some roast coming thru when cool, replaced with raisins, figs some higher alcohols like a port. Flows very lightly on the tongue. Sweet, alcohol warmth, some fleeting dry fruits some dark malt complexity, with a nice soft long dry finish balanced by the hop bitterness. While on the lower end of the scale of strength a very good Baltic porter. Definitely enjoyable on a rainy California night. For a beer of this strength a little age will help heighten the malt complexity and raisiny character

Bottle. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma is malty with some toffee and dark fruits, though I’m getting a whiff of something vaguely metallic too. Taste is quite sweet, then melds into a more balanced malty flavor and ends on a slight hop note. Mouthfeel is on the thicker side. A solid porter but not complex enough to be great or amazing.

Pours very thick, dark brown (nearly opaque) with thick, brown head. Aroma is malty with some caramel, some cocoa, and hints of spice and hops. Flavor begins with lots of malts, sweet caramel, and lots of chocolate. The middle of the flavor shows subtle hints of dried fruit and some hop bitterness but mostly more chocolate and some toasted bread. The beer finishes malty and chocolatey with a little taste of yeast and hops. The mouthfeel is thick but velvety from the carbonation.

Bottle, pours very dark black with thick tan head that dissipates fairly quickly. Interesting and pleasant aroma of blackberry, plum and cherry with some mild malt mixed in. Good taste with the dark fruits, malts and some hops coming through in a nice blend. Overall an interesting porter.

16.9 oz bottle - Pours black with a two finger head that leaves some lacing. It has a pleasant caramel malt and chocolate aroma. The flavor is of roast caramel malts, a hint of chocolate, and coffee. The body is moderately thick and smooth on the palate. The finish is mildly bitter. The coffee flavor really comes through in the finish. Baltika has made a very tastey porter that I think is underrated here. Recommended.
