Apr 23, 2008 bottle. Clear black colour, medium-size creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Full-bodied, sweet and malty with flavours of roasetd malt and caramel. Well-balanced, not too sweet, well rounded with a bitter-sweet and lingering finish.

Dec 30, 2005 1/2 liter bottle poured a clear, dark reddish black with a lasting tan head. Aromas of raisins, figs, and molasses. Palate was light and smooth. Flavors of molasses, toffee, and figs with a smooth, lingering finish.

Apr 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours opaque with a foamy tan head, mostly lasting. Aroma is dark roasted grainy malt with notes of dark chocolate/cocoa and coffee. Dark, medium bitter and acidic flavor of toast and meal, finish is bitter. Dark bodied and fizzy palate, easy to drink.

Jan 8, 2006 Bottle. Black with a small head that lasts all the way through. Thin bodied with some flavors of bitter hops and dark roasted grains. Nice for an old style baltic porter but nothing to run to the store to buy again.

Aug 1, 2006 Bottle shared with GregClow, jerc & tupalev at our Hotel in Michigan -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours dark brown with an average size semi-lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, dark fruit and some alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with some dark fruit and a hint of coffee. Decent body, a touch thin but not enough to detract. Nothing special but it’s enjoyable enough and I liked it.

Jan 14, 2005 Bottle. Large tan head, sparse lacing, fine-medium sized bubbles, no visible carbonation, opaque, and a black brown hue. Malty, roasty, chocolate, and some caramel in the aroma. Flavor was sweet, malty, roasty and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body.

Nov 21, 2003 Pours almost black with a tall pillowy brown head. Nose is malted with roasted and sugary notes. Very mild and drinkable beer. The tongue is surrounded with flavors like roasted malt, cocoa, fruit(plums?), and a ever so slight wood hint. Velvetly mouthfeel with no lingering bitterness. Nice porter!
