Head lasts for a while also and leaves some nice lacing. Rich aroma with a slight touch of coffee, toffee and caramel. Color is a beautiful dark, red/black. Flavor is VERY smooth but not very complex. Can easily drink this right down. Flavor is a little weaker than expected but has coffee, roasted malts, raisins and is a little sweet. Finish is slightly bitter with a nice alcohol flavor and warming. The best Baltika product I have had so far. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2003 well-made with a distinct but subtle smokiness; has nowhere near the messy high-alchohol trappings of other Baltic Porter; in fact I think it's a very good intro to the style. Falls a little thin toward the end with warming, but still smooth and with well-rounded tastes of some nut, sweet brown sugar and smoke. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2005 Bottle. Dark body with a thin head. Notes of coffee, grapes, CO2, and dry hops. Very very sharp taste. The finish is full of roast and metal. That costs it points. Sweet like grape juice. Not too bad. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Pours black with a thick diminishing off white head. Sweet aroma of toasted malt, yeast esters, and dark fruit. A european like aroma. Medium mouthfeel and slightly thin texture. The flavor is of mild coffee and caramel nicely balanced by some herbal hops. Slightly dry, bitter finish with a pleasant liquier like alcohol bite. Much better than I expected. thornecb (1791), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
