Commercial Description:
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Black with a dense head. Sweet aroma with notes of liquorice, black currant and marshmallows. When you taste it you’ll find more sweet liquorice with some shorts notes of coffee. The alcohol gives it a somewhat harsh finish.

16.9 Fl. Oz. Best Before 26.09.05 Awesome. Poured with a nice long lasting beige head. Started at about an inch then faded to 1/4 in. Clung to the sides of the glass. Dark brown with garnet highlights. Aroma: Dark chocolate, rasins, and caramel. No hops. All malt baby. Alcohol. Taste: Reminds me a lot of one of the Reisen candys. Subtle sweetness, with some dark chocolate and coffee. Some hop bitterness. Very easy to drink. Palate: Med-full body. Carbonation level give a very ’mouth-fillng sensation. Overall: Outstanding nightcap. I think I may start keeping a couple of these around the house. At 7%, its just enought to enjoy the full pint and give you that sleepy feeling.

Very nice aroma that is rich, creamy and slightly roasty. Full and malty mouthfeel. Not very complex. Dry and roasty finish. Heary and enjoyable.

500ml bottle. Dark brown hue with a finger width of quickly dissipating beige head. Mild cookie nose. Medium sweet and smooth. Good session brew despite the juice. Mildly lively with roasty cocoa notes and bready malts. Touch of caramel. Easy drinking with good malt palate. Spot on with slick alcohol notes. Oily and sticky. Vanilla notes mixed in with a slight bitterness. Nice and quaffable.

Sweet aroma with strong hints of alcohol. Opaque body with light brown head. Some lace; almost fully, albeit slowly, eroding head. Nice flavor-surprisingly good. Better than the Baltika 4. Alcohol is evident, but not overbearing. A little bit on the creamy side.

Bottle thanks to my neo-geo.com secret santa Kiselgof. Dark brown with red hints, two fingers of tan head. Fruity roasty aroma, caramel and chocolate. Taste is delicious chocolate and coffee with a lightly bitter finish.
