Deep, dark red, almost black with a loose thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raisen, some wet cardboard, a little vanilla. Good body, extra clean and smooth with a light but lingering chocolate with a little licorice finish. Delicate roast and dark fruit flavor. Quite nice.

Bottle... Poured a deep, dark brown with amber highlights and a light brown head. Aroma of hazelnuts, and roasted cocoa, malt. Smooth, light palate with a strong smoked character to the flavors. A little bit of alcohol and hop bitterness that balanced the sweet malt tones. Finished almost like a dark lager/bock, malty and sweet with also an added soy sauce character.

Jet black with a brown head that is fully lasting and leaves excellent lacing. Sweet malt aroma is highlighted by fruit edges (grapes and berries). Lightly sweet flavor, somewhat metallic (copper), with a sweet, short lived finish. Thick, creamy mouthfeel is strange, because is accompanies this lightly carbonated, lightly flavored porter.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a deep mahogany colour with a small tan head. The creamy head lasts well. Nice complex flavour (plums, alcohol) that finishes with just a hint of smoke from the roasted malt. Enjoyable.

Dark brown with a big brown head. Aroma of malt and something I don't recognize. Flavor is slightly burnt and tootsie roll like.

Not much of an aroma, perhaps slightly vanilla. Looks like motor oil, not even a slight head. Malty and smokey flavor, with hints of coffee, yet the flavor is pretty thin.

Bottle at Brickskeller in DC. Not as impressed as I thought I’d be when drinking this. Aroma is slightly that of chocolate and roasted notes. Flavor is coffee and alcohol which I didn’t think was masked too well.

Dark brown color with a well retained creamy light brown colored head. Aroma is alcoholic, brown sugar, and sweet malt. Thinness is one of the overwhelming characteristics of this porter which is too bad. Otherwise the flavor is enjoyable. Flavors of chocolate, grape juice, and a hint of roasted nuts. Enjoyable experience just needs to be thickened up a bit.
