| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle. Pours a very dark brown. Some red highlights here and there, but very dark. Huge light-caramel colored head, with brief, cotton-like lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, vanilla, roasted chocolate. Flavor is pretty varied. Caramel, chocolate, bark, toffee, licorice. A watery aftertaste that almost distracts from the flavor. Sticky, soft body. Well-balanced, and one of the easier Baltic porters to drink. Definitely enjoyable. haddon90 (1043), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Deep dark ruby pour with a thick tan head and some nice lacing. The aroma is very malty with a good sweetness to it. Great smokey flavor with a nice roasted quality. Licorice, coffee, and a touch of chocolate complete a tasty brew. Mouthfeel could be a touch thicker but it works. Overall a good porter. Ron (1039), Rochester, New York, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2004 Cool 16.9 oz bottle. Extremely large fluffy tan head. Dark brown appearance, almost black. Very roasty dry coffee flavor. The roast is not too powerful, but the dryness does come through pretty big in the finish. Not a very complex flavor, but well balanced all the same.
