Feb 13, 2007 Pours a deep brown. Almost opaque in the glass, with a medium head. Good lacing. Aroma is bitter coffee and chocolate. Taste was plums and chocolate. Medium body. Thin texture. Pretty good, and much better that I expected.

Feb 25, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle. Pours a very dark brown. Some red highlights here and there, but very dark. Huge light-caramel colored head, with brief, cotton-like lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, vanilla, roasted chocolate. Flavor is pretty varied. Caramel, chocolate, bark, toffee, licorice. A watery aftertaste that almost distracts from the flavor. Sticky, soft body. Well-balanced, and one of the easier Baltic porters to drink. Definitely enjoyable.

Dec 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Light chocolate aroma with a some roasted malt. Coffee notes as well. Hint of vanilla too. Nice smooth taste. Mix of vanilla and a hint of chocolate. Actually, much better then I expected.

Oct 11, 2006 Another Yum Yum. Poured a very dark brown almost black with big tan head. Aroma was hops and a little smokey. Flavor was of chocolate molasses and some coffee, bitter aftertaste. Nice nice beer.

May 22, 2007 Rated 8/11/06: Been looking for this one for a while now so when I came across one I quickly grabbed it. Deep dark ruby pour with a thick tan head and some nice lacing. The aroma is very malty with a good sweetness to it. Great smokey flavor with a nice roasted quality. Licorice, coffee, and a touch of chocolate complete a tasty brew. Mouthfeel could be a touch thicker but it works. Overall a good porter.

Nov 6, 2009 Bottle: Pours a solid darkest of brown color with a quickly dissolved large sized tan colored creamy head. Aroma is of a rich blend of malts with notes of coffee and caramel. Taste is of well blended rich malts and subtle hops with notes of coffee and caramel. Ending is lightly sweet. Full bodied and creamy, with ample carbonation. Thanks for sharing JB.

Jun 16, 2005 Dark Mahogany color with small tan head. Tart, roasty, earthy. Mineraly with coffee and some sweetness, odd. Not bad, just unusual.

Aug 28, 2004 Cool 16.9 oz bottle. Extremely large fluffy tan head. Dark brown appearance, almost black. Very roasty dry coffee flavor. The roast is not too powerful, but the dryness does come through pretty big in the finish. Not a very complex flavor, but well balanced all the same.
