Aroma is malt, smoke, caramel, and sweet malt. Flavor is that but there is a very thin body thats rather unsatisfying. A nice drying sensation finishes this one off. Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA

The aroma is stark ... sweet and sugary. After the nose, I expected the flavors to be more offending. Instead it’s smooth and inviting, lightly sweet, with notes of smoke, yeast, maybe a little coffee. Theis (3768), Denmark

Burned-malty, slightly sweet but equally roasty aroma with a hint of licorice. Sweetish, very roasted-malty, dark chocolate flavor with coffee and anise hints. Medium to full-bodied, syrupy, velvety, soft-carbonated palate. A very nice, well-balanced, high-quality porter - delicious! Something between Sinebrychoff Porter and Ayinger Celebrator.
