Sep 26, 2008 1 pt 9 oz bottle. Nice and dark, creamy head that lasts a while, not an overpowering aroma, and smooth drinkability. And 7.0% to boot. I think I should have got more than one bottle of this. I’m likin’ it.

Apr 3, 2007 Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Has some lacing. Has hints of roasted malts, chocolate, and barley. Has a great taste from beginning to end. Finishes sweet on the palate.

Mar 14, 2009 Dark brown color with brown, frothy head with quite good retention. Maltose sypup, roasted chocolate, notes of dark fruits in the aroma.
Rotund roasted malty character. Well balanced medium sweet burnt flavors with dry, little bit alcoholic, herbal aftertaste. Medium to full bodied, dense texture, smooth carbonation. Potent porter indeed.

Aug 12, 2008 Really nice stuff, one of the best porters I have ever tried. Lovely dark chocolate notes, coffee and caramel, creamy amd smooth on the palate. Full bodied and deceivingly powerful.

Mar 15, 2009 Fekete szín,barnás színű nem túl sokáig tartó hab jellemzi.Illata kávés,földes.Keserű csokis,pörkölt mogyorós,fűszeres és komlós íze van,amiben érezni az alkohol édességét is.Utóíze száraz,keserédes.Szépen kiegyensúlyozott sör.Téli napokra egy jó könyv mellé vagy egy jó filmhez.Remek!

Mar 8, 2009 pours a deep black with a medium lt. mocha colored head...retention could be a little bit better. aroma is roasty with fig and coffee and some other subtle dark fruits. great flavor displays some subtle dark fruit, mild chocolate, and spicy hops. very balanced. mouthfeel is nice and creamy with a finish that is roasty and has a touch of fig and coffee. outstanding porter.

Apr 3, 2009 Bottel (0.5) Nice dark colour with a creamy beige head. Nose has roasted malt, caramel and hints of sugar and coffee. Flavour has a good balance between sweet syrupy, caramel and roasted malts. End has some licorice in it.

May 26, 2009 bottle. dark brown colour, dirty-white foam, big bubbles. sweet flavour with a nice roasted body. not too dense nor sticky, pleasant for the palate. quite easy to drink and definetly a enjoyable drink!
