Not too much bite from the alcohol. Incredibly, this is available for around $1.50 - $2/bottle. The other Baltika brews generally leave something to be desired... but #6 never lets me down. Quite a handsome beer to look at deepest ,darkest garnet..nice tan head..that goes quite fast..leaves beautiful lacing down the glass.
The aroma is mostly of toasted malts..with a nice alcohol undertow.
Taste is sweet for a mega second after it hits the tongue..then a nice treacle like semi-bitterness..almost liquorice like..then a different bitter after taste ( hops?)..nice alcohol warming.
Very nice in the mouth, invigorating.
I found this to be a very drinkable Baltic..my favourite style after all.

Tastewise, it has definite raisin and alcohol flavorings over a passing malty coffee base. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

Man, for a place that makes a malt liqour, this is actually a really great porter. Smooth tasting this beer is all about the coffee smell. Surprised as hell, the 7% ABV is hidden quite well. For a buck fifty for over a pint of it, not a bad deal. Classy bottle and a delicious brew. Beaver (600), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

The aroma is sweet chocolate malts with a little bit of smoke and tar.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate with some dark fruits, smoke and a little coffee with a roasted bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, a nice surprise. This is a well done porter. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

A faint coffee aroma. Some raisens. Coffee and chocolate in the flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. I liked this porter. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Excellent roasty flavor with notes of chocolate, dark malts, molasses, and a faint bitterness. Full body and silky mouthfeel. Gains points for low price. This is an excellent beer.
