A medium bodied ale with a sweet finish, and has traces of dark fruit and bannana esters. Much less burnt and robust flavors than its American counterparts. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2003 Initial big head but later all was left was big bubble rings . Aroma is the strongest side of this beer, from sweet apple-orange fruits followed by chocolate and ending with dark malt. Heavy, rich malt, burned roastiness. Interesting approach to Baltic porter style... iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Nutty chocolate alcohol aroma with hints of milk, wood and clay. A good amount of creamy alcohol on the tongue. . . A mix of bitter cocoa, almonds and some sweet soft pears finish off a very plesant beer, though not as complex as some other baltic porters. rybowen (105), Los Angeles 90039, California, USA

Interesting and pleasant aroma of blackberry, plum and cherry with some mild malt mixed in. Good taste with the dark fruits, malts and some hops coming through in a nice blend. Overall an interesting porter.
