Oct 18, 2006 I thought this was a pretty darn good porter. It had a nice roasty taste. Molasses and coffee. Very thick. A little too sweet. Not all that complex.

Jul 11, 2004 Pours a rich dark brown, nearly opaque with a thick tan head. Aroma of mild caramel and chocolate sweetness, with a touch of lager yeast. Starts sweet and syrupy with a nice milk chocolate finish and toffee notes. Smooth, complex, and plenty sweet, a very enjoyable Baltic porter.

Jul 14, 2003 Well here ya go - this has got to be the very best 99 cent bottle of Russian beer that I've bought! Black body topped with a generous cocoa head. Great palate - seemed like I was drinking a lightly carbonated chocolate milk mixed with some strong espresso. Also some plum cherry in the taste.
