Initial big head but later all was left was big bubble rings . Aroma is the strongest side of this beer, from sweet apple-orange fruits followed by chocolate and ending with dark malt. Heavy, rich malt, burned roastiness. Interesting approach to Baltic porter style...

Bottled. Light roasted coffee aroma. Black color, small light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, not strong in flavors but very nice roasted chocolat and coffee beans, medium body.

I thought this was a pretty darn good porter. It had a nice roasty taste. Molasses and coffee. Very thick. A little too sweet. Not all that complex.

Not big/intense in flavor but it’s actually pretty good. Light-bodied and finishes ultra-clean, which is rather distinctive. I picked up some Scottish qualities in the aroma.

Pours a rich dark brown, nearly opaque with a thick tan head. Aroma of mild caramel and chocolate sweetness, with a touch of lager yeast. Starts sweet and syrupy with a nice milk chocolate finish and toffee notes. Smooth, complex, and plenty sweet, a very enjoyable Baltic porter.

Well here ya go - this has got to be the very best 99 cent bottle of Russian beer that I've bought! Black body topped with a generous cocoa head. Great palate - seemed like I was drinking a lightly carbonated chocolate milk mixed with some strong espresso. Also some plum cherry in the taste.
