Head is really small leaving only a thin light brown film. Sourish roasted dark chocolate aroma. Raisins without the sweetness. Acidic malts with a deeply roasted sweet chocolate and caramel impression. Licorice. Mellow smooth texture, but unfortunately a bit thin-bodied. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Some sweet malt aroma bordering on the soy sauce range. Also something that is kind of like Lysol. Hmm... that Lysol kinda continues into the flavor. Sweet coffee and malt. Pretty tasty. Aroma wasn't terribly aromatic, but what was there was coffeeish, mocha. Body was cream and fairly thick for a Porter. Sweet finish. This baltic style porter wasn't as salty and tart as many I've had(two traits that aren't that appealing to me). I liked it! DankbrewedDank (162), East Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Very very sharp taste. The finish is full of roast and metal. That costs it points. Sweet like grape juice. Not too bad. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Nice dark fruit aroma in addition to the mollasses and malts. Heavy coffee and bacon flavors, malts are very accented. Clean ending, very nice porter. ATOmemphis (200), Franklin, Tennessee, USA

Size wasn’t great on the head, and it did dissipate - a minus for porters/stouts in my opinion. Not much to smell, though mine was slightly colder than need be. The Best Before Date was exceeded by 4 months exactly (to the day). But the taste was quite good. Not so hoppy like the description offers, but quite smooth with light coffee, hazelnut, and cream/creamy chocolate flavors. Very nice for a mild/calm brew. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy

The taste is smokey and yet sweet and calky almost closer to a stout in my mind, but this was my first baltic porter.
