One of the best Russian porter but sure far from ideal.

Bottled. Jet black with glints of purple and red. Good creamy head and a fine prickle of bubbles that suggest it was lagered long and naturaly carbonated. Interesting aromas of raisins and licorice, peppery and roasted malt flavours and a sweet but roasty dry finish that finally reveals the alcohol.

Cool 16.9 oz bottle. Extremely large fluffy tan head. Dark brown appearance, almost black. Very roasty dry coffee flavor. The roast is not too powerful, but the dryness does come through pretty big in the finish. Not a very complex flavor, but well balanced all the same.

Bottle. Dark beer with a big creamy tan head. Aroma isn’t much - some malt and maybe some chocolate. Rich chocolate malt flavor that lingers. Body is just a little light - but not bad. Alcohol just makes a presence. Very easy to drink and enjoyable.

I found this beer very similar to guiness. A dry coffee taste with a unique aftertaste. The color and aroma were nice.

Very dark colour, small brown head. Sweet malty aroma. Malts and coffee in flavour, stout-like. Bittersweet lingering finish. Solid brew.

Ya gotta love how Baltika numbers all of its beers - it allows me to easily remember which ones I’ve had so far (3,4,6 & 9 if your keeping score at home). A strong, fairly sweet porter that perhaps lacks a little complexity. Raisins, yes.
