| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 22, 2007 Near black in colour with medium-to-high carbonation. Aromas of lightly roasted malts, caramel, and a bit of molasses. Malt forward in the mouth (as expected), but with a surprising amount of caramel. A touch of fruit and toffee as well, along with some black chocolate. The snappy finish makes for a fairly drinkable pint. Pretty good. gsteph (264), knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Aromas of coffee, malt, fruit and chocolate. Flavors are similar with roasted malt, strong coffee, slightly smokey with a bitter finish. Thin mouthfeel with a little bite on the back of the tongue. Overall it is a tasty brew with good malt and hop balance. Coffee aftertaste hangs around a little long though. SaintMatty (1231), Tallinn, Estonia

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Deep, dark black color with an excellently fluffy light brown head. Tamed Roasted malt aroma, roasted malt flavor. A standard, traditional Baltic style porter. No lasting aftertaste other than a light roast. A little bitter for a porter and not as sweet as most. Can’t go wrong with this pick. Chrism86 (278), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Pours dark brown black with a nice beige head. Nose has quite a bit of dark fruit could be mistaken for a belgian. Palate follows suite, with caramel malt, more dark fruit and the slightest hint of choc/coffee dark malt. Also a bit of licorice. Certainly worlds away from others of the style: zywiec, okocim etc but still quite enjoyable. Can’t shake the Belgian-esque feeling though. jaghana (104), Strasbourg, France

Pitch black. Tall, fine, thick head. Not a strong aroma. Roasted malt, maybe a bit sweet but seems dry. Strong malt flavor. Very well roasted, very burnt. Quite sweet, with strong coffee taste. A bit too sweet for me, but loaded with flavor. Long-lasting burnt aftertaste, dry in the finish. Great malt taste.
