Draught at BBF07. Weak fruity aroma. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is standard lager with citric notes.

Bottle. Aroma had a hint of hops, but a little skunky, the appearance was not much different then any other pale lager, but did taste a little better then most others.

500ml bottle, born 20.07.06, best by 20.07.07. Clear straw with a fluffy white head that descends a bit rockily. Ugh - sweet corn nose. Not good. I thought the "5" was bad. Yeech. Less flavor than it’s "5" brother, sweetly corny and crappy malt. Crapola.

bottle poured into a pint glass. poured a light golden in color with ample carbination, smell of alcohol, light hops, and a little skunk. taste is as a pale lager should be, thirst quenching and not too thick or thin, dry on the finish with a little metallic taste and that skunk thing going on as well. decent beer overall and great after being out in the 100 degree sun all day today.

On Tap at the Baltic Fleet, Liverpool 29/04/2007 Floral and malt aromas. Some carbonation. Clear golden coloured hoppy and very malty with a little dryness in a crisp full malt finish.

The aroma is bready, doughy smelling. Its appearnce is a nice gold color. like most pilseners. The flavor is close to most pilseners; light, nothing extraordinary. Neglegible on the palate. OK to drink in a summer bbq/party situation. Nothing outstanding.

Ok, first let me say that a pale lager on this site rarely gets a good review. Someday I’ll get to try an autumn gold lienie. Pop the twist off lid on this green bottle and you get skunk cabbage olfactory. In the glass, the smells clears to something more clean and enjoyable. Ubiquitous pale yellow American lager appearance. Taste is a little off, a little more towards an industrial metal feel. Has an inoffensiveness that is typical for a good clean sterile pale lager. Copper and metal, but not offensive. However, the taste of this is nowhere near a schmidt’s or Old German. Good lager entry but the price is prohibitive compared to the local economy brews. Certainly much better in flavor compared to City, Big City and King Lager. Alky content has no impact on the flavor. Finish is medium length industrial light bitterness, something like many pilsners.
