A sweet doughy aroma that releases barely a touch of hops on tasting. Again a sweet flavour that plays the middle ground, being neither impressive nor disgusting. Although, towards the end of the glass the sugar is adding up and it’s tasting like hangover material. Not bad for a pale lager, but that doesn’t particularly say much. Fairly sweet bready aroma with lots of fresh noble hop aroma balancing it off. Smells quite fresh. Herbal hop flavour with lots of fresh clean malts. A touch of sulfur on the nose. Much better than I expected and at 10 bucks a case, one of the better deals I’ve come across in a long time. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Didn’t find it entirely too different from the other Baltika’s I’ve had. Pale, light malt aroma, sweetish flavor. Nothing spectacular, just a light beer. hopscotch (5537), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 6, 2007 Bottle... Clear, light yellow lager with a large, fluffy, white head. Good retention. Spicy white pepper, pale and biscuit malt aroma... doughy. Leans well onto the sweet side of balance. Corn syrup flavor with peppery/earthy hops. Medium-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and intermediate carbonation. Crisp, but sweet, finish. Much better than expected! KnutAlbert (3217), Oslo, Norway
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 1, 2007 50 cl can in Cyprus. The best of their laer, rane, perhaps, but still a mediocre beer. This need, food, vodka or salty snacks to balance it. A nasty medical flavour lingers in the bakcground, and it is too sweet.
I won’t seek out more of the Baltika beers, and I can see why the Norwegian importers have limited temselves to the wheat, which is decent. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 17, 2007 (Bottle) Pours yellow with a small white head. Lots of carbonation. Light mouthfeel. Seemed overly sweet to me, which is a real turn-off in a pale lager. Grassy notes in here as well. I’ll pass if I’m ever offered this again... DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Apr 13, 2007 Bottle, clear gold with a filmy off-white head. A malty aroma with a strong alcohol presence. A (weird) bitter and earthy maltiness - a little metallic though. A bit different, but not enough to make me think much of it...
