Cloudy, amber/orange appearance with a large, off white head and very little lacing. Typical fruity esters for the style, although a little reserved. Initially sweet, yeasty wheat taste, gently hopped, decently spiced. Gave way to a clean, fruity, slightly tart finish. Medium-bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel.

Bottle, from Butik Moskva, Cph. Pours a hazy neon-like yellow with a small staying white film head. Aroma has loads of banana and some slight lemon. Flavour is a bit more sour than other hefes. Begins sweet, then slightly citric sour and a slight honey tone with limited bitterness.

Pours a lovely clear dark-golden amber with a thick head. Aroma is strongly malty and wheaty, with hints of lemon. Flavor is malty and typical of a good wheat beer, and has a citrus undertone. Finish is crisp, smooth and refreshing. An excellent summer beer, perfect for a picnic or a ball game.

Aroma of grassy hop! and underlying banana. Frothy white head; slightly hazy golden color. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Spice and banana. A bit of citrus. The finish is almost amyl acetate. A very bananaey finish. The flavor way surpasses the aroma. Quite decent.

Rated 9/18/06: Baltika is one of the best value imports I have come across, this is my fourth from their line and two have been great and the other two, including this one have been so-so. Faint aroma of malted wheat with the banana and clove scents. Poured great into my glass, shiny golden yellow-orange with a pillowy white head and good yeast cloudiness. Creamy mouthfeel extremely full. Flavor is decent but not as powerful as I like my hefe’s to be. Good beer, highly drinkable, but not close to being near the best.

In the 500 mL bottle from Cyclone Liquors. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold color with a bleach-white poofy head that hangs on for dear life. The aroma is mildly perfume-like and overall, the beer’s aroma is not unlike a cheap malt liquor. Has a surprisingly smooth palate that tastes sweet like a wheat syrup. The mild finish leaves a bit of banana flavor in your mouth. An OK beer, but not great.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy yellow with a big white frothy head. Nose was of citrus. Taste of citrus, malted barley, sour. Great refreshing beer for a hot day. Medium palate. I have bought this beer numerous times. Recommended.
