Pours a cloudy dark gold with an orangish tinge under a large fluffy white head. Pretty clean spicy wheat aroma with some light yeast and fruity esters. Flavor is nice up front with just a very light spiciness, some bananas, cloves, and a little lemon zest. The finish is light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is light bodied and spritzy with nice lively carbonation. Overall, this was a really decent beer, and quite a surprise actually. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Smells like a wheat beer, good start.
Good fluffy head, that disappears pretty quickely. Meets the cloudy requirements of a wheat, has the occassional lumpy bit and has a taste that lingers for long enough to keep you trying to work out exactly what that after taste is,,,hmm thinners or rotten apples? Happy to have this one again. LibraryBrewer (50), Goodridge, Minnesota, USA
