Jul 15, 2005 Very slightly hazy medium yellow, nice head fades into a thin but constant veneer. Lightly lemon wheat aroma. Lemon and very faint clove in the mouth, with clove increasing some as it warms. Definite wheat flavor, but something odd on the finish as well, almost like anise, strange in this style. Carbonation a bit biting as well. Not bad, but not great either.

Jul 14, 2005 Updated: Jul 15, 2005500ml bottle. Strongly yeasty aroma, plenty of dough, spicy clove and somewhat lighter banana with strong suggestions of lemony citrus and background honeyish sweetness. Thoroughly hazy golden color with a subsiding, foamy head. Flavor profile is lightly tart and citric up front, turning maltier and sweeter before a profoundly spicy yeast finish, lightly bitter and acidic with lasting sugary malts and peppery spice lingering long. Mouthfeel is quite bubbly and effervescent, body is medium. Seems to sweeten up significantly as it warms, so it seems preferable a bit on the colder side.

Jul 4, 2005 Bottle. Hay, lemon and wheat aroma. Medium yellow color - slightly cloudy with moderate head. Sour lemon cream and banana flavors - slightly acidic. A decent Hefe - lemon flavor is dominate.

Jun 27, 2005 This was pretty good for a wheat, which is not my fav style. Trace of fruit on the nose, and taste. Was a bit watery.

Jun 25, 2005 man this wasn’t that bad. I liked it more than most other wheat beers, ANNND it was ina plastic spit cup. I will try a full bottle next time, though their porter always wins the decision over.

Jun 22, 2005 Pours with a strong, vibrant head with little retention. Unfiltered? My piss is more cloudy than this, and I don’t even do drugs. Aroma is light lemon citrus and slight skunkiness. Taste is initally nice and citrusy with a round, soft malt sweetness. Finish, however, becomes slightly metallic and sour/skunky, which really ruined what could have been a pretty good beer. Might pour it out.

Jun 18, 2005 I gave it a good swirl before pouring. Cloudy. Puffy head. Good bubblegum flavors. It’s no Live Oak by any means but a solid hefe, nonetheless. I’d drink this one again.
