I liked it more than most other wheat beers, ANNND it was ina plastic spit cup. I will try a full bottle next time, though their porter always wins the decision over. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Pours with a strong, vibrant head with little retention. Unfiltered? My piss is more cloudy than this, and I don’t even do drugs. Aroma is light lemon citrus and slight skunkiness. Taste is initally nice and citrusy with a round, soft malt sweetness. Finish, however, becomes slightly metallic and sour/skunky, which really ruined what could have been a pretty good beer. Might pour it out. Tejas (704), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 18, 2005 I gave it a good swirl before pouring. Cloudy. Puffy head. Good bubblegum flavors. It’s no Live Oak by any means but a solid hefe, nonetheless. I’d drink this one again. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2005 Bottle. Nice hazy orange/yellow body with a pretty foamy head. Nose-very medicinal and cardbordish. Taste-banana, clove, black pepper, light wheat, yeasty, and sour. Has an interesting sour finish that is unique and nice. The best way to sum up the taste is that it tastes like a thin sour beer, and I like it. Braudog (3783), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2005 This poured 95% foam out of the bottle ... awesome. Slowly settled thru the white poofy foam to a partly sunny, bright day of a beer. This is light-bodied but with a powerful combination of flavor ... very light ripe banana, cereal flake, and just a sprig of herb. Pretty good. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2005 Wasn’t looking forward to this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Pours a rich, cloudy gold with a healthy head of foam. Aroma is spice with a little malt thrown in. Flavor is suprisingly full and gives off an abundance of wheat, banana, clove, and light malt. Mouthfeel is light and slightly crisp. Not a bad effort at all. wheatman (1), Windsor, California, USA does not count | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/20 | Jun 8, 2005 Typical hazy color, yeast a bit clumpy, decent aroma, but came through with an excellent flavor, cloves and spice flavors are strong but not over powering. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Hazy wheat-colored with a tight, white head. Haziness was accompanied by snowglobesque particulate activity. Musty, soapy yeast aromas with black licorice, banana and spices. Flavor was sour and uneventful with a chalky, dry finish.
