I can see lots of sediment in the bottom. An ok Hefe. Darkover (1314), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Extremely fruity with lots of wonderful esters. The kind of brew that makes wheat-beers a slice of heaven. Top-version of a German Hefeweizen - better than most German varieties actually. 030604 ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

All are available at a South Jersey liquor store for $23 USD (case of twenty 500ml). Nice part about the deal is you can mix the case. I mixed two bottles of #8 and was happily surprised with the Hefeweizen. Great pour, fluffy white head and lemon yellow body. Banana aroma evident as soon as I popped the cap. An underlying cirtrus flavor. Baltika #8 is a best buy unfiltered wheat beer for under $1.50 USD a bottle. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2005 2004 bottle. Pours a bright yellow-gold color, with plenty of chunky sediment at the bottom, and very hazy throughout. Large, foamy white head is well-retained. Aroma has notes of bubble gum and banana, with a bit of sweet malt and wheat dryness. Flavor incorporates the malt and yeast very well. I have always been a big fan of Baltika beers malt profile, though it may be a bit on the simple/sweet side. Not much indication of noble hops here, but no one says it has to be hoppy. Though Baltika does not have a very well-respected name, I really enjoyed this one and found no glaring faults.
