Simply popping the cap caused enough carbonation to toss the yeast back into suspension. Big white head from all the carbonation. Big banana aromas in this brew. Flavors were fairly one dimensional as well. Very dry with plenty of banana notes. Not bad, nothing special either. oh6gdx (8917), Vasa, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Tapped. Hazy yellow colour, foamy white head, lacing. Sweet wheat ad malt with hints of caramel in aroma. Very sweet fruitish and wheaty flavour. Leaves mouth very sticky. Good wheatbeer. AlphaOne (142), Australia

Body is hin, flavour to me seems a little hollow, lemony and slightly rancid. hefevice (72), Brisbane beer desert, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2005 From botte. Wow, this surprised me. Was not expecting much, but it turns out to be a very competent hefe. Pours a very pale cloudy yellow, more like a witbier than a hefeweizen. Classic big hefe head and good retention. Classic hefe aroma, abeit a little attenuated. Classic hefe taste, although lacking the depth and complexity of some of the better examples. A little light in the mouth as well, but nothing serious. Very drinkable! BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Clouded pale yellow (almost wit-ish), thick head formation, strong streams of carbonation and floaties. Sweet sugarry, banana aroma. Banana, ctirussy flavor, slightly grainy, dry finish. Pretty good. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Lemon-yellow body with big chunky satellites and a tight, clean white head. Yeasty nose with notes of pepper, wheat, and light citrusy esters. Tangy flavor of citrus and citrus peels. Lacks the depth of Weihenstephaner which was tasted side by side. Still solid and decent. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2005 Looks and smells like a normal funky wheat hefeweizen. Has hints of Weihenstepahner as well as Schneiderweisse. This is a pretty good beer, especially for a wheat. Cornfield (4956), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2005 Updated: Jul 20, 2005Nice pour, a very pale, cloudy yellow color with a towering white head that had lasting retention. The aroma was slightly funky, musty grassy smell with spices and a twist of lemon. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy. It’s got a pleasant grass, banana, cloves, and mildly lemon flavor. Somewhat tart, acidic finish. I’m impressed, since (except for #6), the Baltika’s haven’t been that exciting.
