I would have liked this a lot better if the taste was not overwhelmed by the alcohol content. But then I suppose the Northern Russia winters are conducive to drinking as much alcohol as you can get to keep warm. No Thank Yew!

500ml bottle shared with Finn enjoying the football match between Spain and Italy on TV. White, frothy head resting for a while on top of a clear, late straw coloured body. Moderate lacing on the glass. Mild aroma of grain and fruit. Sweet fruity taste with weight on overriped banana. Missing bitterness, only an alcohol tint to the ending. Rather cloying mouthfeel (thanks to Per Einar for bringing the bottle from Arkhangelsk to Tromsř, 22.06.2008).

Took a flyer on this bottle from BevMo. Slightly hoppy, malty aroma. Poured a golden yellow with a fizzy head that didn’t last long. The high alcohol content overpowered the sweetness, carmel, and grainy notes. Just didn’t work for me.

Poored a clear yellow with little head. Smelled of alcohol and some form of grain. The taste was that of malted grain and maybe vodka. This was like drinking malted grains of some kind, don’t know if it was barley or what, with several shots of rum or vodka in it. Glad I only purchased one bottle of this because for the price I would hate pouring more than one bottle down the drain. This is my first Russian brew and now I am scared to try any more of them.

Light brown pour with minimal. Sweet malts on the nose. Sweet and malty flavor, but it is a little to sweet for me

Sweet and tangy aroma. Moderately dark clear golden color with a small white head. Sweet taste starts slowly in the beginning and lasting long into the finish. Light creamy palate.
