gold color not great but ok high ABV is not masked very well but drinkable i dunno try one i guess

$2.49 for a 16 oz. bottle at Blu Max, recommended by a guy who works there. Wow, had low expectations after reading these comments but really tasted like a fuller, more potent version of Bell’s Winter Ale. Very soothing, creamy, malty and inviting. Different wrapper than what’s featured in the ratebeer photo, will definitely try again.

Pours a pale but rich gold with a frothy and very lacy snow-white head. Smells of sweet pale malt, very faint grassy hops. Hops are a bit more pronounced in the taste but there’s a good amount of alcohol heat here too. Keeps the beer on the dry side although there is considerable sweetness from the malt. Mouth is semi-sweet with a dry herbal aftertaste. Warming alcohol in the belly. A good drinker. Decent malt liquor style beer.

Bottle. Golden colour, average fluffy head. Skunky and malty aroma. Sweet and alcoholic flavour with some skunkiness, malty and some hoppiness. Little bitter-sweet aftertaste.

Bottle shared with a bunch of folks at DougShoemaker’s Decemberfest 2006 - courtesy of Radek. Pale yellow with a tiny head. Aroma of sweetened paint thinner. Thin body. Flavour isn’t as bad as I expected - or at least, there was none of the burnt plastic or raw alcohol I expected based on the aroma. Still not great though, just some vague malt & hop notes, with a quick finish.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a small white head and lace. The aroma is floral and perfumey, alcohol, and cereal grain. Plain flavour that is palatable and not entirely offensive. Cookiesh faint malts.

Bottle, picked up at the Russian delicatessens on Cowley Rd, Oxford 18-12-06. Pours a quite light golden colour, initially seemed heavily carbonated resulting in a flurry of belching, but it and I calmed down a bit. This is way too harsh, alcohol too present, strange sweetness,in fact I can see me slinging the rest of this bottle before I finish this rating, bloody awful, nope that’s it down the drain for you boyo!

Pours very light with a big white head. Very metallic smelling. Flavor reminds me of the beer I drank in college. Cheap, but potent. Not a great or even good beer.
