Some cardboard and corn flakes in the flavor mingled with maltiness. Foul brew. SB (318), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured golden yellow with white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma was flowery to me, but didn’t smell all that great. First taste brought out flowery tones, corriander I thought, the finish was sweet like Vanilla. It was an interesting taste. Good thing was I couldn’t taste the 8% alcohol. However, I don’t think that I would get this again, not my style. It was labeled as a Strong Ale. mustangjoe (172), redondo beach, California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Not too good. Pale yellow with a small white head. Alcohol was very present in the aroma and flavor. I knew I was trying a malt liquor so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Oct 7, 2005 (500 ml bottle: $1.99 at Wine Time in La Jolla, CA) Pale straw in color with a fair amount of haziness, but very few carbonation bubbles rising through the beer. The snow white, foamy head pours to over an inch and gradually settles to about half that after several minutes. Unfortunately, that’s the highlight with this beer. The nose is grainy, smelly, and alcoholic, like a bad, boozy beer. Sweet, apply, and alcoholic with a really nasty grainy flavor, and wow, the aftertaste is bitter and very alcoholic. Yuck, this is awful. Light bodied, but with a harshness like hard liquor. Uhh, this is just horrible, now let me carefully slide this lighter fluid drain pour past my gas stove without setting the place on fire. Please, someone give me a Budweiser to clean my palate! tennisjoel (952), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 6, 2005 According to Old Chicago this is listed as a pale ale?? Where are the hops? Are there any? One good thing is that the 8% ABV seems well masked. Wheaty taste, somewhat watered down. This is okay, but not what I was expecting at all. Later on I learned this is technically considered to be a malt liquor. Yankovitch333 (612), Chesapeake City, Maryland, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2005 Tasted like cheap beer with lots of alcohol. There’s no sense in giving this a decent review. It’s just like every other Euro lager but with lots of alcohol. Tah dah! That’s it. It’ll get you wrecked. SSSteve (2107), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2005 This beer pours a golden yellow with a 1 inch thick head that dissapates quickly. light hoppy aroma, just like a standard lager. taste has a small hint of hops. This beer is pretty good for a lager, but I am not much of a lager fan. Cheers!
