Basically tastes like an American macro on steroids. Clear gold in color, small white head; slightly sour malt aroma ... sweet malt, corn and alcohol taste-wise; a touch of hop bitterness on the end ... seems like a mere afterthought, though. Meh. Poured out a very pale yellow-gold...minimal head. Skunk-malts dominate the aroma....and they got skunkier as it warmed in the glass. The flavor was dominated by sweet malts, some bitterness, but I fear it was due to something other than hops. You can sense the alcohol...there was nothing else there to mask that. Yep...EuroColt45. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Bottle poured a golden bodied beer with a lasting, frothy, white head. Lightly malted, stagnant aroma that was tinny and medicinal. Brandy aromas while warming. Non-descript sour, stale flavor. Left me with a confused/annoyed look on my face.
How ironic... I gave it an overall 9.

This beer is strong, that’s about it. Tastes like it was strained through a newspaper. wxman (588), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Updated: Jun 21, 2008Smells like corn and sweet rubbing alcohol. Pale yellow with short lasting head. Tastes like creamed corn, corn sugar, and maybe a little hop bitterness. There is some slight burning due to the 8% ABV in the swallow. Not offensive like most US malt liquors, but not the most pleasant strong lager either. As with other MLs, it’s not well balanced. Dorqui (1361), Brescia, Italy
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Light and little compact foam; evanescent. Clear and limpid color, not particularly bubbly. Medium and alcoholic scent; sugar and malt notes. Determined and sweetish taste; decidedly alcoholic. Overbalance but not to despise. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 25, 2005 Smells like champagne, with pears! Initial taste is devoid,like a bad beer, but then the flavoring kicks in. The alcohol gives it a faint wine/barleywine taste. Overall, though, it can’t escape being a malt liqour...high alcohol with little complexity. SledgeJr (2966), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 23, 2005 In the 16.9 oz bottle. Surprisingly, I liked this beer. Standard yellow in color with a fizzy white head that is poofy only a short time. At first, the aroma seemed slightly skunked, but this aroma gives way to a malty perfume-like aroma. Flavor is a strong alcoholic maltiness, but it has a tempered sweetness and a suggestion of some hop balance. Kak dela tovarich?
