The flavor is very light. The hops stand out a bit more than the malts, but that’s barely at all. Thin bodied and a watery palate. Eh, nothing to get excited about. burcusabrews (106), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Sweet upfront which lingers without much flaovr. a bit sour, but well balanced for its strength. Pailhead (2602), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2004 Bottle: Aroma is a little weak. Weak hop and skunk aroma. Pours a very pale slightly hazy yellow with a white head that has decent retention. Flavor is rather malty. Much more than I expected. Slightly skunky. Not much bitterness. Can’t detect the alcohol at all. Alcohol becomes much more noticealbe as it warms. Nothing real special about this beer, but it’s not as bad as I was expecting. HermanW (630), Coevorden, Netherlands

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 21, 2004 Not too bad, though I had expected something really terrible. Tastes a bit like Budweiser but with a slightly richer mouthfeel and more hopping. Trappist (279), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 20, 2004 I did not feel that it was too bad of an ale. Big Bastard is correct about it being similar to an American standard, but the powerful alcohol flavor proves otherwise. It is sweet and warms your stomach upon each sip. The Alcohol was also noted in the aroma as soon as I cracked the bottle open. If these traits could have been hidden better or just made somewhat smoother, this would be an alright brew.
