Commercial Description:
Medium strength, light beer brewed to a special recipe with natural honey added. It is distinguished by a rich golden color and unique aroma. "Medovoye Light" beer is bottled in 1.5-litre plastic bottles. A special feature of the new packaging is the Company's imagery embossed on the bottles. This marking is not only an unusual embellishment to the packaging but also a sure protection of "Medovoye Light" against imitation.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt and caramel malt, maltose syrup and hops. 11°

A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of honey. The flavor is also sweet with notes of honey, but here the honey is mixed with light notes of flowers and rose hips, leading to a dry end. The body is thin.

Bottled (1.5l PET). The worst beer to be had in Minsk when I last visited. Pale yellow and fizzy. Sweet, no bitterness. Awful finish (rotten peas?). Utterly revolting, luckily there was plenty of cheap vodka to get rid of the flavour.

Bottled. Honeyish orange colour, minor head. Weak honeyish aroma. Honey, rye and weak malt in flavour. Finish turns to somekind of vegetables. Dry finish.

1,5 ltr plastic PET-bottle. Pale amber color, small white head. Strong aroma of honey. Light mouthfeel. Malty flavor with honey sweetness. This tastes actually like a light lager with real honey added.

This was the first Russian beer I ever tasted, and it also was among the first I ever rated. We were visiting friends, and this bottle was brought on the table. And it was a 1½ litre plastic bottle, and it brought my prejudice out of the closet... It was sweet and sickening to put it short and the honey never was brought in the right context...

Plastic bottle. Orange colour with a small white head. Sweet honey, skunky aroma and a sweet honey taste, light harsh. Medium body with a sweet finish.

1,5 litre PET bottle. Yes, the rating is right: 0.6! Hazy, light copper color, no head. Smells like dishwater, combined with sweet apples and apple syrup. Ditto flavor. Threw away the whole bottle after a sip. Luckily it was only € 1,25.
