500mL bottle, 14.10.06. color of an urine sample, even the head is foamy like the toilet! , of a dehydrated russian! aroma of corn flakes. might be the best corn flake flavored Russian beer I’ve had...

Somewhat similar to Yarpivo, the main disticnction behind this malt and yeast driven beer is its citrusy embellishment. Tasty with Russian cuisine - had around Nashville, Nice.

Hm...I must be honest. The only reason I purchased this beer is because it came in a plastic "2-liter" bottle, with a plastic cap... While i don’t condone the unnecessary use of plastic containers, I like that it really stands out in a freezer...The taste is really quite interesting! Nice and flat, bland even, though lively enough to resonate with the beer drinker. I like this one!!

Pours deep gold into a lager glass. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Macro corn, adjunct and sour malt aromas. Crisp and grainy from front to back. Dry corn finish.

Zhiguljovskoje is a very clear light copper lager with a small white head that fades to a film. It has OK lacing. It has a sweet aroma, like brown sugar, maple syrup and honey. It’s light bodied and pretty watery. It has a very sweet flavor! There are notes of maple, honey, caramel and sorghum, but not really any hops. Hey, kids would appreciate this! It’s not too bad, actually. I bet it’d make good cooking beer. I got a big plastic 1.5 liter bottle for $1.98!

Bottle. Pale golden beer, thick white head. Aroma is quite malty. Pale malt and a soft herbal hoppy aroma. Flavour is quite clean and well-attenuated. Light crackery malts, herbal hops and a fairly herbal bitterness. Well-hopped for the style. A bit metallic but overall fairly non-offensive and better than many of the "premium" beer in the same category.

Bottle@Home. Sweet corn and apple aroma but not unpleasant. Yellow color, white head, good lace. Very sweet for a lager, light bitter, grainy, hints of apple. Medium body and mouthfeel. Not really bad.

Rating from 4/23/09 incorrectly placed under Zhigulevskoye (Moscow). A beer that has set in my cooler far too long, something about a liter of Russian lager in a plastic bottle has not pulled me in. Golden color with a diminished off-white head. Caramel, fresh wood, popcorn, and flour scents. Fairly heavy and lifeless feel. Glue and toasted walnut flavors. Fairly dry in the finish. Some more nutty flavors in the linger. A light lager with some interesting vienna components.
