Mar 4, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, grape, lemon, light brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (190108)

Feb 13, 2008 Cask at the Smithfield Hotel in Manchester. Another good Manchester beer. Nice amber colour, a lot of floral notes in it which isn’t really my thing. This has a better balance than most in my opinion. The right amount of flowers and alcohol for the style I thought.

Jan 24, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Smithfield Hotel.
Perfect colour for a bitter with an excellent white head. Floral hop aroma with loads of lemon and other citric stuff. Lovely grassy and earthy notes in the flavour on a strong base of sweetish malt and pleasing bitter hop finish. Proper English beer.
