Cask handpull at Wetherspoons, Folkestone. Coming to the end of the barrel apparently. Reddy brown with beige head. Relatively fruity aroma, some brown sugar flavour in mouth. Fruity, sweetish bitter. Faint tingly hop on end. Malts are nice and so is the fullish mouthfeel.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Volunteer.
Rich amber colour with a decent off white head and plenty of lace. Fruit, tobacco and raisins are the scores on the doors with a slightly bitter finish and a delicate caramel sweetness. Run of the mill...

Cask @ The Bear, Camberwell. Copper colour with smallish head. Aroma is fruity / malty / nutty caramel. Taste starts poorly but gets better with a nice bitter / spiciness / some fruits. Hoppy and dry in the finish. Decent beer, worth a try.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes, Wetherspoons Festival ’07. Copper with a small white head. Fresh, sweet malty and fruity taste with biscuity background. Some bitterness. A pleasant, uncomplicated sessioner.

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, 11-11-07 Poured reddy brown with large white foamy head, aroma lacking somewhat first taste was quite sweet and malty and then everything goes downhill a bit, not that exciting probably a little past its best (not the breweries fault) very average.

Cask, Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Red brown with a small head. Aromas are toffee and caramel with nuttiness and some spices. Quite light. Flavours are nutty, hoppy and spicy with toffee and pear. Dry and hoppy on the finish. OK.

Cask conditioned @ Standing Order (JDW), Soton. Excessively toffeish and sweet malts with a cloying but watery body.
