-A big-bubbled head dwindles to thin veil over the transparent russet.
-Sweet peach syrup takes over the nose.
-That mineral yeast again nags the toasted maltiness and peachy sweetness.
-Large, fluffy bubbles and the rotund, sweet body form a satisfying mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-This singular flavor profile would be another of their beers to be paired with spicy food.
-Peachy fruitiness goes into cherry territory at times.
-This is the same gimmick as their True Blue Blueberry Ale, and their Ginger Mild, just another kind of flavoring. Yawn.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2002 Bottled (bomber). Nice-looking brew, with large creamy off-white head atop a dark brown/amber nearly opaque body; looks more like a brown ale than the typical light American fruit beer. Nose lightly peachy and hoppy; could be stronger. Flavor is a bit brown-ale like also, much maltier and darker than the typical raspberry-wheat type that we’ve grown to love/hate. Peachiness again understated; body is as stated creamy into the finish; hops fairly muted. Definitely better than the first Bar Harbor brew I had, but this one seems a might stale also. Could just be something in the house style I don’t like. Better than average summery fruit beer though; great for a 95 degree day like today! ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 16, 2005 22oz bottle consumed on 9/13/2005. Brew #01709 (batch number maybe?). Deep ruddy-chartreuse color with some burgundy tones in there. Bottle conditioned and unfiltered. Big, light-beige head. Lacing is in sheets. Awesome looking beer. Peach essence and dry yeast in the nose. Slight hint of pale, sugary grains. Flavor is VERY attenuated, surprisingly so. Hugely so. Dry and papery, notes of seltzer water and salt. Peachy, dry and pretty uninspiring. Peppery carbonation, more saltiness on the end, pretzels and zero sweetness. As it warms and breathes, the peach flavor is more noticeable and slightly pleasant, but just can’t recover from the strange texture and complete lack of malt sweetness. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2004 Lovely aroma of peach and butter (diacetyl?), like a cobbler. Very mild flavor, some peach is actually accentuated by the proper food accompaniement (here pretzels actually doing it). But otherwise just vaguely malty and pretty uninspiring once it is in your mouth. Darker than many fruit beers. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Bottle: Clear orange with a thin white head, sweet peaches in the aroma, medium bodied with light carbonation, starts and ends sweet with a lingering peach taste. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Well, this one did better than the "True Blue" - a moderate amount of peach aroma, along with herbal/perfume. Taste was malty in the middle with peach syrupy sweetness along the sides. Body was thin, soft carbonation, kind of watery. Didn’t taste like they used real peach. jazz88 (2238), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 25, 2004 Bottle. Brown colors with a strong peach aroma and flavor. Otherwise painful and unenjoyable. It didn’t mix well. Christmas Party 2004 ranked 13/15 (mine) and 12/15 (group).
