Strong blueberry aroma as it’s poured. Copper color with a decent white head. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly bitter blueberry with a little caramel. Finishes rather dry and clean with a berry skin aspect. Interesting. BelgianBeerGal (1322), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2008 Bottle in Bar Harbor. Brew #0019. Much more beer taste than blueberries, but that’s good in my opinion. Pours much darker than expected but with the anticipated blueberry aroma. Natural blueberry flavours (they didn’t use some chemical syrup) paired well with the slightly bitter beer backbone. Really nice. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear reddish-amber with a thing white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet blueberry syrup, with more bitter malt and yeast. Taste is quite sparkly, of malt and yeast, with more general berry notes than specifically blueberry. Lingering light bitterness and clean berry taste that fades quickly. Refreshing and pretty tasty. kkearn (1013), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2008 22oz bottle, purchased at the brewery. Labeled "brew #002". Pours brown-amber, capped with a minimal tan head. Aroma of caramel malt; blueberry is present in the nose but its not very intense. Flavor of caramel malt, real blueberry, black pepper, and some spice. There’s a little bitterness in the background as well. Long, mildly hoppy finish, with blueberry providing a little tartness. Very drinkable. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA

Sweet, carbonated blueberry upfront, with a sharpening dry finish. Not bad. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2008 8/09/2008: Well, True Blue definitely smells fruity and floral like freshly picked blueberries. It is amber in color, clear, and has a foamy beige had that collapses quickly but the rapid level of carbonation manages to sustain a thin ring of bubbles around the edges. The blueberry is quite subtle in the flavor at first but comes back through the finish and lingers delicately on the palate. Most of the flavor is consumed by a pretty good caramel maltiness that is toasty and somewhat sweet. In a way the whole thing kind of tastes like blueberry pancakes with a small splash of syrup on top! This beer is nearly medium-bodied and clean on the palate. Overall this is a nicely-crafteed blueberry ale that has a good malty base beer and a complementary level of natural blueberry fruit and accompanying floral qualities. My wife gave this beer a rating of 3.2... I agree!
