slight Necco wafer... maybe the black, brown, or white one.   Thinking... yeah, the black one.   Not getting much Bock aspect to
this one.   Flavor is slightly fruity, some of that aformentioned Necco wafers.   Light for a Bock.   Certainly spicy though.
The color doesn’t match, by that I mean I expected a bit more malt flavor, roasty, maybe some dark pitted fruit.   Drinks very
light, spicy, with a hefty dose of sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Does pick up a little bit of heftiness at the
finish.   Spices still dominate tho.   Not your traditional Dunkler Bock.   More in common with a Witbier.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Very good beer. Dark, cloudy caramel color with a fairly firm tannish head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma fruity and malty with a hint of spiciness. Flavor somewhat complex but very well-balanced - roasted malt, sweet fruits and just enough of the spices and honey. Very nice on the palate and smooth finish with a pleasant aftertaste. Dark, spicy beer, robust enough to tackle the honey. Warming. Fine for sipping on a frosty night. dyetube (419), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 14, 2007 This beer pours a deep brown/black with a small tan head. The aromas are roasted malt and flat cola. The flavors do not blend well at all; you get mostly carbonation and little flavor. This is a very lacking beer. Cheers!
