Stunned to discover we had not already rated this and the regular Barbar so we squeezed a couple of quick ones in at ZBF. Easily superior to the pale version. Great cloudy dark brown colour thick tan head goes the same was as the blonde. Sweet again like the regular Barbar and obvious honey but more dark malt character showing though here thankfully. More complex than the blonde and some nice bitterness adding some balance for the finish. Sadly I always find this over carbed. Best enjoyed at slightly above room temperature in front of a log fire on a cold winters day if you ask me. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Crisp yeast aroma with notes of forest berries. Taste of malt, sour oranges and subtle honey hints. Slightly watery with a metallic finish. It’s Barbar with knobs on (as a certain manc would say).
