| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Pours a dark chocolatey brown with a light brown head. Has a chocolate stout aroma. Smooth dark chocolate taste along with roasted malt sweetness. Really like a lager version of stout since there is a crispness to the taste. Some ABV warmth. FatPhil (3527), Espoo, Finland

Deep orange. Sour aroma. I’ve had this half a dozen times before, and this is outside the bell-curve with its acidic aroma, and lactic palate (which I actually quite liked). Should rerate a fresher one. Had 2 or 3 beers at Alvar which were not in their prime that evening, so maybe this is their cellaring rather than a Lefebvre quality problem. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
