It pours a dark brown beer. Complex flavor and aroma. Very sweet. Some apples sneaking in. Nicely balanced. I really enjoyed this beer.

Pours a nice deep burnt caramel with a lacing of a head. The nose is full and rich with dried fruit and caramel along with brown sugar. There’s a bit of a medicinal influence in the nose as well if you let it warm. The flavor is not as enjoyable as the nose, but still smooth and sweet. Full mouthfeel and clean finish.

Bottle, Belgian Belly, Chorlton. Poured a deep dark brown with a big creamy dissipating tan head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour. Some spiciness and dark fruit in there and honey deffo detectable. Some bitterness in the finish. Clean and drinkable.

11.2 oz bottle from GM Liquors BB 20090822; Clear very dark brown with a 2 finger glass-lacing tan head; Nose of hops, caramel, corriander, light brown sugar and a vanilla note; Flavor is lightly sweet caramel, pappery spiciness, and a molasses note.

A very dark brown with very little head. Lacing disappears quickly. Its taste is spicky with a hint of spiced bread. Really outstanding beer.

This black ale poured with a rich beige head and a spicy aroma. There is a slightly sour, but mellow, roasted malt flavor with a raisin and plum finish. Very tasty.

Bottle courtesy Durhambeer. Pours a deep reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma is orange peel, coriander and some other spices. Smooth malty taste with lots of orange and spices as well as sweet malt. Tasty, but a little too sweet.
