A dark brown almost black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and complex with notes of plum and dates. A mellow very complex flavor hits You then it turns sweet then alcoholic combined with pricklyness with notes of raisins and hints of smoke - a fantastic soft complex and filling beer - great complexity. Try it - if You can find it.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark golden, slightly hazy with a fine, creamy head. Lovely spicy nose. Sweetish, perhaps a bit sticky, presumably with added honey like in the original "Barbar". A pronounced bitterness manages to contain and balance the sweetness. Close enough to a German Bock, although this is top-fermented. 030200

33 cL bottle. Pours black with deep brown hue and a light brown huge creamy/crispy head. Fresh herbal/fruity and slight spiced aroma. Sweet slight burned caramel malty flavour. A sharp bitterness shows its presence just before the finish. Slight alcohol warming finish.

Bottle, 8%. Sweet perfumy, candyish aroma. Very dark brown colour, big stable tan head. The flavour is sweet with some fruit. Not entirely appropriate, a little green apple. Fruit bubblegum notes. Cidery finish. Decent.

Bottled. Very dark brown colour, big white/beige head. Aroma is strong sweet fruity and plummy with weak hints of alcohol. Flavour is very refreshing, mainly of alcohol, plum, spices and weakly notes of some very salty licorace.
