This pours amber with a creamy colored head, some flavor and richness too it, but simply another amber beer. Very average. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. Aroma is fruity with notes of citrus fruit, flowers, and caramel. Medium amber hue with an average sized off-white head that mostly diminished and left ok lace. Flavor is smooth and fruity, with a caramel malt tone throughout. Palate is light and soft. Clean feeling and not bad at all. The best beer from the history of beer package. incutrav (577), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Lord these beers from "america" sampler are bad. Taste of metal. Very bland and the smell is bad enough that this one was a drain pour for me. Collint (465), Sylva, North Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 30, 2007 12 oz bottle, from Beers of America, a christmas present from my sister. The head was off white, the smell was hard to tell because it was little to none, smelled like sweet caramel. Very weak, the taste of it dosn’t stay. I have to take a sip for every sentance I write about it because everything just goes away so fast. Its weaker than a coors or a busch, yet it is not to bad tasting. Wouldn’t buy again. | 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Amber with fleeting white head. Aroma was faint notes of bread, corn, and caramel. Weak and watery. Doesn’t even merit Lawnmower Beer status. puboflyons (628), New Hampshire, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 25, 2007 12fl. oz (US) bottle from a limited release gift package of Historical beers called "Beers of America." A nice deep reddish-amber pour with a quickly disappearing head. Nice aroma along the lines of cinammon, brown sugar, or something I can’t quite put my finger on. Medium mouth feel and a fairly sweet and bold flavor. No aftertaste. Abover average I would say. Label says 1894 style. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2007 12oz bottle. Wet, sticky corn nose, heavily sharp but aromatic and a nice pungency to the hops. Flavor is wet up front then crisp across the middle, with a clean, mild corn and toasted malt profile and a light bite of snappy, dry hops. Unoffensive but not anything good. Had this from some beers of america sam’s club pack.
