Fruity aroma with a fruity note and malty taste. I believe the bitterness is off with hops used but flavor hop’s is nice. Would buy again. Taste fresh to me! AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Rated while drinking: Amber/ruby-brown color with a medium off-white head. A bit roasty and sweet on the nose. Flavor is the aroma incarnate. A bit off near the end. Sticky and thin. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Part of the Minhas Craft Beers of America Historical Collection. Poured a light amber into lager glass, with an inch of head that went away as quick as it came. Scents of honey, malt and the slightest pinch of hops. Flavors were very flat with some honey and caramel also coming through. A very unexciting beer. There are two more in the collection...I am not sure what to do with them now. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Picked up the Minhas Craft Beers of America Historical Collection Sample Pack at Warehouse Liquors in Duluth, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear amber brew with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of sweet light caramel malt and flowery hops. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt and some grassy hops. Finish is watery, some malt aftertaste. The ABA archives has no information on this historical beer brand. It is supposedly come from a pre-Prohibition label from the San Francisco, CA area that operated sometime in the 1890s. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 1, 2007 The aroma was malty and earthy with a slight off flavor. The beer poured a nice amber color yet it lacked head. The flavor was caramel and molasses hints with some earthy hop notes. The mouthfeel was watery and thin with some slight hop bitterness and carbonation. CasperQuaffer (142), Casper, Wyoming, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Pours amber with medium, short lived head. Aroma is earthy and faintly fresh like flowing water. Flavor is nondescript with faint toast and tangy hop predominant. Palate is watery but fizzy enough to keep your interest. If this is what they drank during the gold rush, I’d get back to panning so I could buy better beer.
