| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2002 Not labelled as a steam beer but I was certain thats what it was, both from aroma/flavor and hints on the label. (iceless fermentation, 1894 style, Gold Rush style beer, etc.). Anyway: light head, with copper color and med lacing. Aroma is strongly fruity -pear? Flavor is cleaner though, mainly bitter...an interesting contrast to the aroma. Aubrey (2778), Denver, Colorado, USA

Light, yet malty & hoppy, and seemingly well-balanced. Dry, clean finish. Good session beer. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

I let is sit for a while to about 65 degrees which brought out more flavor. Good hops and medium carbonation. Probabaly not the best recreation of a steam beer.
