Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 05/08/2009 (ABV 6.0% so as Pat says below I’m not sure whether the one sampled is this or the 7% Worcestershire perry or even neither of the two!) Fruity aroma. Light golden coloured hazy in appearance strong in alcohol and fruity pear flavour with a dry tannin finish.

Pale yellow with no head. Pear aroma with a hint of funk. Flavour is pear and wood, with a little tartness.

@GBBF2009 (hope this is the one, abv 6%). Hazy yellowish colour with no head. Aroma is pear, cheese, mild spicyness and also some wood and mild alcohol. Flavour is wood, pear, yeast, some sourness as well as some slight cheesy notes.

Hope that this is in the correct place. Had this Perry (I believe it was this one) at The Plough, Worcester, 03-03-07. Silvery colour with definate haze. Wonderful juicy fresh pear taste, the strength was quite evident throughout and reminded one to drink this with caution. I noted that there wasn’t any abv on the cask label and was informed that this was because they didn’t quite know what it was, probably 7-8% this time I was told. Great perry.

From the barrel at Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Pale straw colour. Spicy aroma with a rubbery edge. Sweetish, with lots of fruit in the flavour and a touch of acidity. Decent perry.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Silver/gold colour. Perry/vinegar aroma, bit of acetone. Good pear fruit. Quite a good perry but a tad sour for me.

Cask @ Reading 06: Yellow in colour. Sweet pleasant pears, dry but balanced.
