Commercial Description:
This Golden Sorghum Lager will appeal to beer drinkers who prefer the lighter taste of lagers produced by the major brewers, such as Anheuser-Busch, Coors, Miller, and Heineken. This ale has a light crisp taste to meet the thirst quenching requirements of the lager style while still having enough body to interest the ale drinker during the spring and summer seasons. This beer has low bitterness and a subtle but pleasant hop aroma that will gently caress the senses.

Note: contract brewed for Bard's Tale Beer (http://www.bardsbeer.com/).

Shocker, this beer gets a poor review from ratebeer. This is only the second grain-free beer I’ve tried and I’d like to tell you its terrible but I can’t. It your basic light lager with a bit of sweetness and it’s still better than Bud,MIller, or Coors. Don’t let the geeky fantasy game name throw it, it’s not bad.

Golden pour with a big but not entirely pleasant nose of malts and some nutty essence. Far too sweet and unbalanced but a truly awesome name somewhat makes up for it.

Pour amber hue thin white line for a head. Nose caramel malty honey molasses sorghum and wheat. Taste carbonation thin malty hints of caramel with sorghum lacing through. Finish nill to slightly acidic. Overall not a very good beer.

Bottle marked 2/12/08. Pours with a fizzy white head that goes leeaving a clear penny colored body. No lacing. Aroma of cheap malt, cheese rinds and plums. Taste is sweet with coconut, nuts and granmanier (in a very poor marriage of the three). Very sweet with soggy malts at the finish. Fizzy and dry.

Dark golden with a small white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma, with notes of nuts and prunes. Sweet fruity flavour, with a slightly sour fruit juice-like note. Considering the other ratings, it must have been oxidized. And that may not have been a bad thing...
