Aroma of deep roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Flavor was a slightly watered-down form of American Guinness Draught. Definitely a very decent Irish-style dry stout. I was shocked to learn from this site that it’s an AB product, but I have to give props when they’re due. A pretty damn fine stout. Codythegreat (146), Carrollton, Georgia, USA

Probably the most underrated beer on this site most likely because it’s an A&B product. Has a good, smooth hoppy taste with a flavor of malted barley. I first tried this beer at Busch Gardens In Williamsburg Virginia while I took part in thier Brewmaster’s Club. From what the bartender told me, this beer is one of the favorites of August Busch and he likes to drink it in the "Trojan Horse". The flavor comes out more if you drink it while eating milk chocolate or smoked Gouda cheese. Only on tap. I drank this from a shaker Hotspur2001 (43), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Thought the name looked familiar and asked the waiter who brews it, he didn’t know. Tried a sample - liked it - ordered a pint. Tasted good, even mentioned to my wife "THIS is what Guinness should taste like".......very similar to Guinness, but with more roastiness to it. I liked it - and when I heard about 30 minutes later I couldn’t believe it was an A-B product. Even so, I ordered another later on. I was impressed Busch (or any of the macros) came out with something this good. Pours black and retains its head nicely - stuck my finger in the beige foam and it clung to my fingertip, just like a good Guinness TechMyst (166), Fox River Grove, Illinois, USA

Opaque black in color. A little of the nitro-bubble trance effect on the head. Smooth and very drinkable if a little bland. still I had no idea what to expect going in. it was a plesant brew. and I’d hate to rate it low now knowing it was an AB product. littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Dark brown with a creamy beige head. Weak sweet aroma. Initial flavor is creamy and sweet, light bitterness that grows toward the finish. The finish has a nice burnt quality. Very mild beer. Creamy on the tongue. I’d drink it again. A slight roasted aroma of coffee and chocolate with a hint of caramel. Flavor was the same but very watered down. Not a very good brew at all. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
